Footloose is a full-service destination management company combining extensive knowledge of Tanzania and Slovakia and their respective tourism industries with a knowledge of foreign visitor expectations as regards standards of service and increasingly the ethics of an operation alongside the delivery of genuine and unique experiences.

Wildlife is what we, as individuals, have been about in one shape or form for the last thirty years so any destination that we operate in has a wildlife focus.

David Guthrie has lived and breathed Tanzania since 1990 and is still involved in the day to day running of his Tanzanian tour operation, A Tent With A View Safaris which he heads up with wife Tara, partner Masoud Kilanga and a superb and dedicated management team on the ground. As well as Tanzania, we now offer our destination management services in Slovakia & Wild Britain which, with Tanzania, makes for a somewhat diverse grouping at first glance. However, what they all have in common is superb wildlife viewing, offering a diverse range of holidays to suit all budgets.

We have had our own operation in Slovakia since 2008 taking people walking with bears in the stunning High Tatras mountains. These unique walking tours followed extensive bear research where we funded the collaring of bears and followed their movements and behaviours. Our goal was to find solutions for the local community to live happily alongside the bear populations in the region. You can read more about our Slovakia Tours right here.

Finally, we felt that Wild Britain deserved a place in our destination portfolio as it is where we have, most recently, been taking tours, discovering superb wildlife right here in the UK which evolved from travel throughout Britain in our youth. These haunts now feature in new tours in recent years due to being more mindful of our carbon footprint and as a result of less long-haul travel due to Covid-19 restrictions.
